There’s a small circle of people who know about an important tradition we have here at theCHIVE HQ in Austin. When we built the now-famous copper bar, we committed to opening up the bar on Friday afternoon to any active duty service member or veteran who wanted to come into theCHIVE HQ, no appointment needed. Part of the motivation is a selfish one, if we’re going to be the website committed to helping our veterans and active duty members, I need to be up on my game. I need to know what the hard chargers know in order to effectively do my job as a torchbearer for their causes.
