It all started with a tweet from the Smithsonian’s National Zoo, announcing the birth of a grey seal pup. It ended with the most adorable collection of baby animals that Twitter has ever seen, as other zoos and aquariums got involved in the cutest bout of one-upmanship the Twittersphere has ever seen.
