Just take a look at the ratings over the past several years. Normally, the heavy-hitting Sunday Night Football has always crushed the World Series, but it took a huge backseat to Game 5 this past Sunday. Sure, the Cubs not only competing for the first time since 1945 but staving off elimination might have something to do with it, but that doesn’t explain how it lost so handedly or why the NFL’s ratings have been consistently down the ENTIRE season.
