These days, it’s almost impossible to stay away from bad news when scrolling through Facebook. From natural disasters like Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria to manmade disasters like the Las Vegas tragedy – recent events may make it feel that the world is about to end. The barrage of bad news seems limitless, but it’s important to note: with as much bad, there are just as many – if not more – good things happening in the world. Amidst tumultuous times, there is solace in knowing that Chivers are looking to help and assist where ever they can.
NY State Chive rallied to raise donations with 315K for the Cure for the Upstate Children’s Hospital in Syracuse, bringing in an all-time high of $21,500 during their 4th Annual Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Meetup. Chive On Chicago spent an afternoon pouring beers at the 2nd Annual Gladstone Park Music Festival, donating over $800 of their earned tips to local charities assisting the homeless. Chive PA got together for a camping trip and raised $2,500 for Keystone Warriors. And don’t forget about this year’s Chive K –
with almost 100 teams signed up, we’re hoping to raise as much donations as possible for the first responders that always have our backs. These are just a few of the great things happening in the Chive Community.
As we continue to make the world 10% happier, Chive Chapters should be proud to be the bringer of good news.
