When I think back about the stuff I learned in Ancient Civ class in high school, I remember it being boring and dry. Gods did this, created that, and everyone lived happily ever after. I think they should have led with some of these tales instead. I’d have paid more attention.
The truth is, Greek mythology is pretty fucked up. There’s murder, incest, torture and straight up rape. There really needs to be an HBO series about this.
