Last week, many of us took a break from the stress of work, school obligations, and the hundreds of daily tasks we take on to slow down and reflect on the good in our lives. And while we were doing that, some families out there were using all the strength they had to wake up and face another day, steeling themselves for whatever might come next. Still grateful, of course. Just working harder to see the good.
One of those families was Nicole and Summer, a mother-daughter-duo from Villa Park, Illinois.
