Men don’t need much to be content with their living spaces. Is there a TV? Is there something to sit on while watching that TV? If the answer to both of those questions is “yes” then the place is good enough for me. And honestly, there’s a lot of wiggle room for the latter requirement — an old mattress or even a comfy carpeted floor would probably do fine.
But some people — women, especially — can’t stand to see how little it takes for us to be happy. They mock or gasp in horror at the male living space aesthetic — an interior design style I have dubbed “grunge-minimalism”. Which is why I love r/malelivingspaces — a place where grunge-minimalism can be celebrated in all its glory. Scroll through to bask in its splendor:
