Chive Charities would like to announce the much-anticipated first annual Chive Charities Green Gala. Monthly subscribers to the Chive Fund play an integral part in supporting the smaller causes like our recent grants to the Granite Mountain Hotshots, David Cosner and the Colorado Wildfire victims. This year marks our first annual Green Gala where we invite all the Green level donors (those who donate $100/month to theCHIVE Fund) to Austin Texas for a night of food, booze, and live music.
The Green Gala will take place on November 2nd, 2013 in Austin, TX. Not only will our eligible Green Members* and their +1’s have the chance to hang out with Chive Charities and theCHIVE/theBERRY crew, but they will also get to meet some of the grant recipients from our past causes. Per the usual, Mac is not invited but I’m sure he’ll sneak in somehow.
Now this is where we need your help, Chive Nation. To make this inaugural gala unforgettable, we can’t do it on our own. If you live in Austin and own an event venue, catering company or production company (bands, DJ’s, ice sculptures, etc) and would like to help out by donating goods and services please email us at events@chivecharities.org. Sponsors are also very much needed and appreciated as we are limiting the amount of money we spend from theCHIVE Fund on the event so your donations can go to people in need.
We are also looking for an Event Coordinator to join the Chive Charities team full time. He/she will be in charge of planning this event as well as other charity-related events. Find more information on the position HERE. If you don’t live in Austin currently, please do not apply.
*Eligible Green Members must be active subscribers with at least 3 successful monthly donations. An invitation to the event will grant eligible members and a +1 entry to the event and will not include travel expenses.
