Facts about the wildly underrated film ‘Grosse Pointe Blank’ (20 Photos)
Screenwriter Tom Jankiewicz was motivated to write his story because of a letter in the mail for his 10-year high school reunion. While he was living in LA, he was working at Big Lots as a substitute teacher to support himself. When he saw the invitation, he panicked because he wasn’t where he wanted to be in life. According to his brother “It freaked him out, but it made him productive. He sat down and got serious about [what would become] ‘Grosse Pointe Blank.'”1
