You know, it feels (unfortunately) appropriate that Robocop, a film about a mega-corporation slowly acquiring every facet of modern life, is now being acquired by Amazon.

I mean, it’s not the only film being acquired in today’s news, it’s only one of 4,000 films in the MGM library that Amazon is seeking to purchase for $8.45 billion.
