Jeff Garlin, who played the father figure Murray Goldberg on ABC’s hit sitcom The Goldbergs was killed off ahead of the show’s ninth season, according to an article on AV Club.

Garlin was fired from the show for his terrible on-set behavior. In an interview with the New York Post in 2019, Garlin divulged he had almost been fired for “saying some really stupid silly things that I can’t believe that anyone would find offensive.”

By the end of 2021, Garlin’s awful on-set antics continued, leading to his firing and his character’s death.
