In two of the Fantasy Football seasons that I can remember, I drafted first overall, just for that player to be a MONUMENTAL bust. The first one was Adrian Peterson back in 2014 before he was suspended following the first game, and the second one was just last year with Christian McCaffery. Fortunately I was able to make a run to the playoffs in both seasons but it definitely made things much more difficult throughout the season.
As we edge closer and closer to draft days for fantasy football leagues, here are some of the players to think twice before selecting.
Let’s preface this one by saying DO NOT DRAFT A QB IN THE FIRST 3 ROUNDS! Most leagues only have one QB playing at a time. While a good QB could net you 25 points per game (ppg), they are only one man on your roster. Build out the rest of your team before selecting a QB. In deeper, 12-man leagues, this will be incredibly helpful as your WR and RB core will be decimated in the first several rounds. That being said, let’s move on to the QB’s to avoid in this year’s draft.
