Back in 2008, the World Wildlife Fund commissioned a Tokyo based-ad agency for a campaign called WWF Japan – Population by pixel. The idea behind the campaign was simple: Create pictures of endangered species, but only using the number of the animal’s population for the pixels, to represent how many of these animals are left. But the project has received a second wind of sorts. An Imgur user named JJSmooth44 created their own follow-up. According to Bored Panda: “I did it as a programming challenge. I did it… in python… but the code is very gross. I only worried about the final product and not the readability/niceness of the code.” Like this post? 0 Liked! 0 Disliked 0
