An anonymous Spanish artist recently shared a horrible conversation he had with a fan who asked for a commission of his. It all started out innocently enough, but it took a terrible turn after the dad asked for a FREE self-portrait drawn of himself that would take the artist days to create…because his son (who the artist had never met) allegedly has cancer.
Now I’m ALL for helping out a kid suffering from any medical condition, but the manner the father goes about trying to get this self-portrait “for his kid” has bullshit written all over it. And even if his claim is actually true, the way he went about asking a professional artist for his work is degrading, pathetic and embarrassing.
