Yesterday, a Marine Corps KC-130 crashed into a soybean field in the Mississippi Delta, killing all 16 Marines on board, including six from the Second Marine Raider Battalion. For those who know who the Raiders are, this loss is especially profound. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the Marines who perished and their families.
As help and resources flood into the area, we are receiving many inbound requests from Chivers who want to help via our various email accounts.
As of now I’m unaware of any charity set up to help the families of this tragedy. Here at theCHIVE HQ we need to centralize all inbound requests so if you want to help please email us at chivenation@thechive.com and we will email everybody details on how to help when/if it arrives. The families are grieving and respecting their privacy is paramount.
If you are a family member of any of the VMGR-452 Yankees or The Raiders, and in need of assistance in any way, please contact me directly at john.resig@thechive.com
Thanks and God Bless,
John
