One day, 9-year-old Brady Snakovsky, from Strongsville, Ohio, was watching clips of K9 officers in action and noticed something that unsettled him. Some of the K9s were protected with bulletproof vests, but others had been left completely vulnerable.
After a bit more research Brady discovered that due to lack of funding, and ballistic vests costing a whopping $1,200 a pop, many K9 units are unable to afford the protection for the loyal companions.
