There’s a reason porn is a multi-billion dollar industry. No matter what people say everyone watches porn. But have you ever wondered what the people involved in the adult film industry are paid? Wonder no more.
Depending on the studio’s budget, actresses in a “traditional” man and woman sex scene are compensated anywhere between $800 and $1,000. The most famous actresses earn as much as $1,500 and occasionally even as much as $2,000. Some of the more extreme scenes can earn anywhere from $1,800 to $2,500.
“When the girls first get into the business and they’re new, I think they can command additional money for different sex acts,” said Steven Hirsch, owner of Vivid. “Initially they make more money, then it depends on how popular they become.”
