For as long as the sport has been around, fighting has been a fixture in the great game of Ice Hockey. So much so, in fact, that even people who don’t know anything about the sport know that in Ice Hockey it is not a rare sight to see people ‘drop the gloves.’ It’s the only team sport that allows people to punch each other in the face while the masses in the arena jump out of their seats and cheer. However, that does beg the question…why?
