Whenever I hear about LSD or Magic Mushrooms mentioned in the media, I picture groovy dudes in the 60’s dropping acid and talking about peace and free love. What I don’t picture, is young Silicon Valley professionals taking trips to get their work done, but apparently, it’s the latest thing.
This new trend in the tech and programming workforce isn’t brand new, but it’s gaining in prominence, where many are using psychedelic drugs to help their focus and mental state. In a highly technical job, with long hours and the tendency to burn yourself out, programmers and the like will take any advantage they have to get the job done.
While they swear by it, science now wants to know if it’s legit.
