She asked me out in front of a bunch of her friends who all knew I was mega into her.
They enjoyed seeing my excited, “Hell yeah, are you serious?”
Some started to giggle. I was suddenly so nervous my head felt like it was going to pop off like a rocket.
Then she said, “F*ck no.” [And laughed for a long time.]
And then all of her friends at the same time let out a cacophonous [long laugh].
I got over [it] eventually. Kind of.
