We all have a story about a time we stupidly got ourselves into a monumental pickle that our parents till present day will never let us live down. I for one have several, but the one that sticks out top of mind was the time I threw a party in junior high and a girl driving her friends home that night crashed her car about 100 yards from my house (in a wooded area with a sudden curve). She broke her leg and the cops had to be called out and, of course, they wanted to know what party they came from.
My parents had to book a flight back home from their vacation in Arizona to “take care of the situation”. I don’t remember how long I was grounded, but my guess is MORE.
