Halloween may be over but that doesn’t mean that the frights must end. Modern escape rooms first popped up in Kyoto, Japan back in 2007 and have turned into a worldwide phenomenon since. For those of you who have never done one, the concept is quite simple. You and several friends (or strangers if you choose), are placed into a themed room for an hour with one simple task: escape.
The rooms are riddled with puzzles that the players must solve within the 1-hour time limit to be successful. You escape, you win. The time runs out, you lose. See? Simple.
As more and more escape rooms are popping up, these are the top ones to visit in the U.S.
