Everyone knows the chilling story of the sinking of the RMS Titanic. Deemed to be ‘unsinkable,’ the behemoth was set to cross the Atlantic and into New York City in the grandest way. Sadly, a collision with a massive ice berg caused the ship and over 1,500 souls to sink into the bottom of the ocean.
When the wreck was discovered in September of 1985, chilling letters were also found aboard. These are letters written by actual passengers of the Titanic, and were presumably to be sent off to their families upon arriving in New York.
