Ninety-nine-year-old Catarina Orduña Pérez had one final wish prior to her death — “a giant statue of a dick on top of her grave” — according to an article in Vice.
The completed statue stands 5-and-a-half-foot tall and weighs in at nearly 600 pounds. The cock-and-balls statue was mounted atop her tomb at a cemetery in Mexico. Vice reported the statue was completed and mounted July 23 “as a ‘recognition of her love and joy for life.’”
Pérez’s grandson Álvaro Mota Limón told Vice that his grandmother “wanted to break the paradigm of everything Mexican, where things are sometimes hidden because of not having an open mind.”
“She was always very avant-garde, very forward-thinking about things,” Mota Limón told Vice.
