It’s always sad when you see places from your childhood fall into disrepair. One of those for anyone from Southern Ontario is the fading majesty that was Ontario Place. Opened in 1971, if you were a kid of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and early 00’s, Ontario Place was the shit. There were arcades, a waterpark, the first IMAX in Canada at the Cinesphere, crazy rides and even a MegaMaze.
School trips were had here, and there were many concerts at the demolished Forum and current Molson Amphitheatre.
It was a place, when seen through the eyes of a child, that was just amazing.
