When Maddie’s T12 vertebrae was fractured in a car accident, she had no choice but to wear a back brace. As you could imagine, like most people who’ve sported a brace, Maddie was less than thrilled. That’s when family friend and theatre group member Sarah had the bright idea to turn the ugly back brace into a piece of steampunk armor.
