A pool being used by Olympic athletes in Rio is raising serious questions after turning murky-green overnight. Rio’s seawater is already cause enough for concern, being that it’s so polluted that ingesting only three teaspoons of it could make you seriously ill, so this event is “troubling” to put it lightly.
What’s even more bizarre is that the pool was bright-blue just yesterday. The sports world has reacted appropriately with a general feeling of trepidation.
