I’m no statistician, but I’d put money on that at least 86.96% of message requests from strangers on Facebook are fake. It’s either a half-assed attempt at a cash grab or mindless bot redirecting you to a shady site. It’s kind of just expected.
With that being said, when this happens you can either hit ‘ignore’ and go about your life or get hilariously petty — like our friend below did. Instead of letting this scammer off the hook, this British woman trolled him into changing his Facebook status. Check it out below.
