Depending on what region of the U.S. you’re in, you may hear different names for the same object. There’s not a wrong title for these things, but you may find that a few of them really grind your gears.
Let’s start with mini bottles, because I feel personally victimized by this one. I’ve only been a Texas resident for about a year now, but someone called them “airplane bottles” and I just about lost my shit. I’ve always known them as shooters, but other terms include nips and minis. All acceptable. Airplane bottles is a little ridiculous. I know they have them on airplanes, but they are also consumed on the ground.
Either way, it’s interesting to see the many different names for these random objects.
