I don’t claim to know the first thing about raising kids. I have none of my own, and being 100% transparent, even if I did have any I likely wouldn’t have an honest clue that I was raising then perfectly “right” even at the moment. But I do imagine there are a few things our parents taught us that we’d all sooner leave out of our own children’s upbringing…[cough]…like my old man insisting that cutting in front of people on the highway is “best done without a blinker” because the blinker would clue them into your intentions and then they might not let you in. Classic, Dad move. I still laugh & cringe thinking about those merges.
I love my old man, but as I said, we all have some lessons we’d rather leave out of our own kid’s upbringing. These are some of the people’s things they’d omit telling the kiddos…
