I’ve been emailing back and forth with Olympic Ski Jumper Jessica Jerome since early 2011. She would check in with goofy photos and tell me to thank the Chive staff for helping keep the girls in good spirits on the road. It was always surreal to me to watch the women’s ski team adorned in KCCO’s wherever they went. Let’s face it, there’s something incredibly sexy about it too.
Jessica Jerome is fearless. At the age of 7 she knew she wanted to hurl herself down a ski ramp at 50 mph and leap 100 yards out into the great wide open. Her father reluctantly agreed. The gamble paid off.
Jessica and her teammates are in Sochi right now representing our country and we couldn’t be more proud of all of them. But especially to you Jessica, thanks for the kind words over the years. You’re one of the good ones.
