This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Matrix. It changed pop culture forever, it’s endlessly imitated/parodied to this day, and features some of the most iconic action scenes of all time.
Just as iconic are its various actors, notably Keanu Reeves who became an action superstar the likes of which Hollywood has never really seen (Reeves is a truly phenomenal stunt performer along with being an actor).
And he was almost never cast.
