It’s absolutely insane to think that ‘The Simpsons is now going and its 31st season and counting. The show is a pilar in pop culture and shows no signs of fading anytime soon. And one of the more notable traditions within the show happens every episode during the intro where Bart Simpson must list his wrong-doings in detention by writing some sort of “chalkboard gag”.
Some of the chalkboard writings are silly, while others are deeply rooted in social or political commentary. But through the show’s three-decade history, which now has over 350 different chalkboard gags, a lot has changed. From the political climate to the drastically improved animation.
