Right up front, I just want to say that when I was putting this together, I really tried to keep this limited to using one running gag from a TV show with no repeats in shows.
That proved impossible. Simply put, some shows really have more running gags than others, but I managed to keep this whole list from just being running gags on The Simpsons (I don’t know how I did it, but I did it).
