On Monday, Westworld announced they’d be releasing a full spoilery summary of the upcoming second season. Expectedly, this sent fans and TV reporters into a total frenzy. Then the video appeared on the Westworld subreddit as promised. But it was all a lie.
Co-creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy made an elaborate video that starts off incredibly authentic. Bernard wakes up confused, and begins narrating the shocking scenes around him. Then, you realize it was a fake-out and feel as if Nolan and Joy just personally flipped you off.
