2020 was a long, cold, and Happy Hour-less year for most of us. theCHIVE headquarters remained sadly dormant, as many employees worked remotely and most Chivers abided by the CDC’s recommendation to stay safe & stay home. The Copper Bar collected dust, the beer taps clogged to a complete standstill, and the slide was neglected its regular helping of weekly victims…*ahem, I mean “Volunteers.” Times were…well, very un-Chive-like around here.
But alas, the world began turning the tide on Covid, and as we saw the light at the end of the tunnel, we began preparing to reopen theCHIVE HQ to both employees and to theCHIVE Nation once more for a much-needed drink(S).
We counted down the weeks, the days, and finally the hours until the clock struck 4 PM CST on June 18th of this year!
And we couldn’t be happier to get back to the way things were before the dark days. That’s right, theCHIVE is back open for Happy Hours once again, and we thought we’d share some highlights from our opening weekend as we usher in a new era of making the world 10% happier!
