Kids these days don’t exactly want to tell their parents when shit hits the fan and they don’t know how to handle it. They either think they’re old enough to figure it out themselves, or they don’t want to be grounded for three months for being in an environment they’re maybe not supposed to be around. Whatever the case, more than likely parents aren’t the first person a teenager is going to call. Unless you’re the children of Bert Fulks.
Fulks is a youth minister from Huntington, West Virginia and an awesome dad. Being a leader in the teen community, he often deals with kids who deal with drug addiction and don’t know how to get out of it. During a specific meeting with a group of teens, he asked them to raise their hands if they ever had a problem they felt like they couldn’t come to their parents with.
He was shocked to find that every single teen raised their hands.
