There are lots of things we believe through word of mouth that simply aren’t true. Remember how your mom always told you to wear a jacket or you’d catch a cold? Mom was wrong — only contact with a virus can make you sick, not cold weather. And that whole thing about Napoleon being short? He was actually above average for the time period he lived in, standing at a respectable 5’7″.
Now there’s a new bit of knowledge circulating the internet that throws a wrench into our long-held beliefs. Turns out the system many of us use for calculating our dogs’ age is dead wrong. 1 year does not equal 7 for a dog.
