As a Mariners fan – rough, I know – I have a love/hate relationship with the New York Yankees. Even though we play in different divisions, there are some significant moments between the two clubs from the infamous Jay Buhner trade, “The Double” in the 1995 Division Series, and the haunting 5-game elimination to end the Mariners’ historic 116-win campaign in the 2001 ALCS.
