I have a damn hard time telling if a woman is interested or not. Lots of guys do. Some are masters at reading women, but personally, my radar for that sort of thing is straight up broken. I’ve had multiple women — now taken — say they used to be interested and had dropped all kinds of “hints” my way (wait — is her telling me that a hint, too?? I HAVE NO IDEA). Apparently, laughing extra loudly at my jokes, leaning in, and touching my arm means she’s interested. But I’ve had women who were not interested do that as well.
That’s why I appreciate these women taking a far more straightforward approach. A bunch of ladies accepted a Twitter challenge to ask out their crush for Valentine’s Day and then share the results. More of this, please. Since most of us men are simply clueless, I say we make the woman asking out the man the new norm.
