Nintendo’s got a long and storied reputation. Founded 100 years ago as a playing card company, for the past 40 years it’s been churning out beloved games and systems. Given how much we love what they’ve done for us and our childhoods, it’s no surprise that Nintendo has got an unrivalled sense of trust from the consumers.
But that’s not to say that Nintendo hasn’t made some mistakes. In fact, they’ve had some colossal blunders and told some amazing whoppers that it’s surprising how much people love them. Yeah, they’ve earned a lot of it, but they’ve also lied to our faces. A lot.
