So something important and pretty cool happened recently on theCHIVE that I wanted to bring to your attention.
On Wednesday, Bob Phillipp wrote one of the best and most informative articles he’s ever posted. Amongst the topics covered were our efforts to create a united commenting system between theCHIVE and iCHIVE, a Chivery wishlist function so Chivers can RAK each other, and an open admission that we’d fallen short in creating the ultimate ads free experience for our users.
The pain point revolves around our inability to remove sponsored galleries from the ads-free experience. In his article (read here), Bob briefly mentioned that part of the difficulty was that we’d been temporarily banned from the Apple app store. Bob, being the deferential and good guy that he is may have understated what actually happened.
