India – In Indian culture, red signifies one of the most powerful colors within the culture. It represents fear and fire, wealth and power, purity, fertility, seduction, love, and beauty to name a few.
South Africa – Red is normally associated with mourning. The red that appears in the South African flag is meant to symbolize the violence and sacrifice that were made during the struggle for independence.
Thai – In Thai culture each day of the way is associated with a color, and red is reserved for Sundays. It is supposed to represent Surya the solar god.
