Every time I encounter someone who’s a fantastically rich dickhead, an Abe Lincoln quote pops into my head. It states “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.” No, I don’t think ol’ Honest Abe was referring to rich people being asshats when he said that, but you can see how it might translate.
