As an Austin resident myself, I see my share of hipsters traipsing around the streets in their skinny jeans, beanie hats, sporting slicked hair and an old-timey mustache. So when I first found out that there was a Twitter hashtag #HipsterYankeeCandleScents I had a good laugh knowing that despite the page being satirical, odds are there is an army of people out there who actually wish these candle scents really existed. True or not, these candle names really hit the hipster core ethos right on the head.
