Nerds and Wellness
Growing up, there were two camps of kids in my neighbourhood; the ones that played outside and played sports, and the ones that stayed inside and played video games. Back then, we figured the odds of which kids were gonna get hurt more often, erred on the side of those that were outside doing physical things. Boy, were we wrong. As it turns out, gaming is far more dangerous than we know.
Between the general fights that can break out over who’s turn it is and what rules you’re sticking to, gaming takes an actual physical toll on you and can fuck you up permanently.
I think it’s time to put my controller down and go play outside, it seems safer.
