Celebrated on the first Friday of August, International Beer Day acknowledges the delicious beverage that we’ve all come to know and love.
According to Holiday Insights, beer has been around since about 6,000 B.C. The Guinness Book of World Records has filed the largest glass of beer ever poured at 550 U.S. Gallons. It was poured in Halifax, UK in 2014 and filled with Stod Fold Gold.
While filming the iconic comedy, Beerfest actors did drink REAL beer. According to MentalFloss, they used O’Doul’s non-alcoholic beer (which does actually contain 0.4 percent alcohol.)
