At a glance, action star and Hollywood icon Danny Trejo looks as terrifying as the villains and badasses he plays in films. But the reality is, this man is a big teddy bear with a heart of gold. OK, maybe he’s a big teddy bear, that could still kick our asses, with a heart of gold. But you get the point. And Danny has quite the story to tell. From his early years bouncing in and out of the world’s most notorious prisons, immersed in a life of crime and drugs, to a revelation that ultimately led to him becoming one of the most successful and prolific actors in entertainment today (300 films and counting!). Danny Trejo really has seen it all.
In addition to hearing about his life trajectory, we got to listen to tales from the set of movies like ‘Desperado’ & ‘Heat’, and what it was like working with legends of film like Robert Dinero and Robert Rodriguez. And other than being one of the nicest men in Hollywood, you will also be amazed at just how funny Danny really is in person. And a really cool film Danny & his longtime friend Craig Moss are co-directing is an action-comedy called ’Social Security’. Think if ‘Die Hard’ took place at a retirement home, and Danny gets to act, as himself, as the lead character.
