Some of you know the Emmy-Award winning actor Michael Chiklis from hit TV shows like ‘The Shield‘ or ‘Gotham‘, others might remember him as The Thing in the Fantastic Four franchise films, or if you’re like me your recollection of the man goes all the way back to the days as ‘The Commish‘. Wherever you recognize him from, one thing is for certain and that’s that Michael has been one of the most prolific and ubiquitous actors in Hollywood for the past 30 years. But that monumental fact pales in comparison to how inspiring and compelling his personal story has been.
It wasn’t always easy for Michael, in fact his amazing career might never have taken off in the first place if it wasn’t for cinematic legend Bert Reynolds taking a chance on him at a time when nobody else would. The story behind the chance encounter with the mustached icon is beyond belief, and amazingly, Michael has never shared the life-changing moment before with anyone — well, until now, of course. Beyond all the shows & the films, we got to hear a side Michael that most don’t know about such as his passion for music. He literally built his own massive music studio by hand and regularly jams with some of the biggest names in music from past and present. And my favorite part about getting to hang with Michael was hearing his eye-opening perspective on what it takes to be successful in this world; his words will stick with me for years to come. The honor of picking Michael’s brain was ours, and now you guys can catch the fun & empowering conversation too!!
