Nyquist, a 3 year old colt ridden by Mario Gutierrez became the 8th unbeaten winner in the event’s 142 year history. The Canadian owned horse ran 1 1/4 miles in 2:01.31. Mario hones his skills in Vancouver British Columbia, and has now won his second Kentucky Derby. This event was a great one for Canadian horse racing fans to rejoice!
